The level of Lake Dunlap will be approximately 18 to 24 inches below normal beginning Sunday, May 9, 2010 so that GBRA hydroelectric crews can perform spillgate maintenance.

The work is expected to be completed by Saturday, May 22, and the lake level will return to its normal level by Monday, May 24. GBRA officials are advising that these scheduled operations may be completed before May 22, or may need to be extended for an additional period of time. Operations may be adjusted or canceled in the event of adverse weather conditions.

GBRA officials advises anyone using Lake Dunlap for recreation purposes during this time to exercise caution because lower lake levels may expose debris and other potential hazards that are normally underwater.
